Help

Troubleshooting without weakening protection.

Resolve common service, activation, definition, scan, and installation issues safely.

01

The dashboard says Service Unavailable

Restart Windows once, then open Windows Services and confirm Lexyte Protection Service is running. Do not accept help from an unsolicited caller. Export local diagnostics from Scanner mode and contact support if the service will not start.

02

Definitions are out of date

Check the computer date and time, confirm ordinary HTTPS access works, and select Check for updates. Lexyte continues using the last valid signed package while offline or after a failed update.

03

A scan is taking a long time

Large Downloads and temporary folders can take longer. The scanner uses bounded parallelism and stays responsive. You can cancel safely; no settings change during a scan.

04

A legitimate support tool was blocked

Ask the Guardian to review publisher, signature, product identity, exact path, and duration. Approve only the specific installation or hash—never a common filename alone.

05

Activation limit reached

Deactivate an old computer. If it is lost or broken, contact support from the purchase email with the receipt reference. Do not buy again unless support confirms it is necessary.

06

Prepare diagnostics

Use Help → Export diagnostic report. Review the redacted report before sharing it. It contains Lexyte status and security events, not screen content, passwords, documents, or browsing history.
